Our old 1986 Air Conditioner unit stopped working in May of this year, leaking out all of its refrigerant. It was a power hog and not overly efficient. Our furnace was a newer high efficient unit, but was already pushing 18 years old and and so I wanted quotes for both systems.
I had obtained a few quotes already when a friend recommended that I call Ball & Sons first before making any decisions. That was a very smart move.
Jim Schultz was the sales associate that come by to get me a quote. Very friendly and polite. He looked at my furnace and commented that it didn't seem that old and that it was a reputable brand. He said he would look up the serial number for existing warranty since that furnace might have warranty (it was installed by previous owners). What I liked the most was his upfront honesty and willingness to provide me with as much information as possible for the option of keeping my existing furnace if there was warranty. It turned out the previous owners/installer never registered it.
Long story short - it was that openness that pretty much sold me on dealing with Ball & Sons, nobody else even offered that as an option. The quotes he provided were also very good and he offered multiple options as well.
Val was great to deal with too, handling the booking for the appointment for the replacement of both my Furnace and Air Conditioner as well as the SaskEnergy rebates and the Lennox rebate for my furnace.
The installation crew was also very good and professional to deal with, putting down drop-clothes to keep the stairs clean as they went about their work.
I highly recommend Ball & Sons Heating Co!

Ball & Son's installed our new Lennox furnace a few years ago. It has continued to be an excellent furnace with no problems. We also have them out to do preventative maintenance and make sure that everything is ready for the hot and cold seasons. They provide great service.

We've had them do a half dozen or so major jobs over the years on our old house. Always good work and follow up.

We have been struggling for a few years with another company on our boiler system for never truly knowing what our issues were, or having to get out the instruction manuals to understand our system. It was getting very frustrating. My husband happened to see Ball and Sons truck stating Viessman dealer on it so we decided to give them a call. It was night and day for us. The tech came in and knew exactly what he was talking about and had us fixed up super quickly. The office and the tech were both super pleasant to deal with and the service was very fast. I'd recommend to anyone with a boiler system!
